One life, one story, a bright future...
I arrived at the Avotra center at the age of 13, with my younger brother. Passers-by found us rummaging through garbage cans with our mother, who was an alcoholic. We were then welcomed to the center where we were clothed, housed, fed and rehabilitated. At Avotra we had found the love we were lacking. My mother died a few years later. I stayed at the center to give back. Today I am the maintenance manager of the center and I am married, we had 2 wonderful children. »
“Physically and mentally disabled, my mother abandoned me. The center took me in when I was just a baby. I received continuous rehabilitation which enabled me to speak and walk. Today, I continue my education in a specialized school and I have a wonderful godmother who spoils me with her love and affection. »
“I was a turbulent child, with a heavy past, bringing with me all the trauma of abandonment. I never knew my parents because I was abandoned when I was little. I was found in the garbage, and I was welcomed into the very heart of Richard’s family, the person in charge, for a few months, in order to be medically monitored by his wife Bako who was a doctor, and to receive all the affection that I never had. After spending my adolescence at the center, I realized that I had all the beacons to fly on my own. So I left and found a job, started a family. From time to time, I return to visit the center, in which I received everything. I am more than grateful. »

At Avotra we are made up of several people working in various fields, as well as our young and adult residents.
Rehabilitation
Everyone deserve a second chance, that is why we welcome those who are in need, and do all we can to help them
Adoption
Children are gifts from God, they deserve to be pampered with lots of love. Offering them a new home is part of our duties.
University
We have made education our "spearhead", which has enabled many of our young residents to obtain their higher diplomas.
Each person has their story, their past, sometimes very heartbreaking. Avotra was created to allow each of its members to erase all these wounds and start their life afresh, like a born again person. We physically, spiritually and psychologically rehabilitate those in need. We allow them to have an adequate present, so that they can aspire to an ideal future. We educate them to be responsible and to be committed, to give back.
We are happy to work with our faithful partners, who have understood the importance of our ministry. We are grateful to them for placing their trust in us.
